The Cry of Denali

You can read the stories cast across the northern skies
And hold the spirits captive in the gaze of steely eyes
A shimmer of majesty, there’s silver in the snow
I’ve come to find the secrets you have come to know

Of living lives with pride, warm hearts against the cold
I’ve come to find you here; I’ve come to find my soul
Sometimes it seems we live in worlds so far apart
In truth the hunter lives here deep within our hearts

Yet we, cry for the hungry, cry for the lonely.
Cry for me only, if I am not free.
To see with your vision, to live with your courage.
Your cry out to the spirit in me.
In The Cry of Denali !

And so it’s not so strange that I’ve come unto your land
I’ve come to hear your song, I’ve come to understand
I’ve come to realize there are things I need to know
I’ve come to find the truth, in truth, I’ve come to grow

I seek compassion in a cold and desperate time
I seek my family and I wish that you were mine
The student waits now patiently upon the rise
For the wind has changed and the master has arrived

And we, cry for the hungry, cry for the lonely.
We cry for the children, of the land and the sea.
We see with your vision, we live with your courage.
As you cry out to the spirit in me.
In The Cry of Denali !

I’ve found compassion in these cold and desperate times
I’ve found my family, and I know that you are mine
We walk together now, with passion and with grace
And live in harmony within your sacred place

To cry for the hungry, cry for the lonely.
To cry for the children, for they must be free.
To see with your vision, to live with your courage.
All this you give now to me.
In the Cry of Denali !

In a fight for survival, a song of compassion.
For the children of the land and the sea.
In The Cry of Denali !
In The Cry of Denali !
In The Cry_______!
In The Cry of Denali.
